Poem - 25
總是前途莫心勞
求神問聖枉是多
但看雞犬日過後
不須作福事如何
Always do not worry about the future.Don't worry about the future. The translation of the quoted text is: "Seeking gods and asking saints is all in vain."Even seeking divination is a waste of effort. But just watch the days go by with the chickens and dogs. When the days of chickens and dogs have passed. No need to do good deeds, how?You can understand the nature of things without having to pray to the gods.
There is no need to seek divine help for the matters at hand; after the "Rooster and Dog Day," one can understand the truth or outcome of the situation. The "Rooster and Dog" refers to the hours of You and Xu, which can be interpreted in terms of time, day, month, and year. The time refers to You time (5 to 7 PM) and Xu time (7 to 9 PM). For the day, one can refer to the lunar calendar, while the months refer to the eighth and ninth months of the lunar calendar. If it pertains to the year, it would be the Year of the Rooster or the Year of the Dog.
